The Crew
We are Burke and Stel Lee and have had a passion for boating our entire lives. Over our 43 years of marriage, we have developed most of our boating experience on power and sailing vessels in the coastal waters of the southeast. We have spent most of our lives living and boating in the Charleston, SC area, but have recently moved to the Sandhills of NC to be close to our children & grandchildren. We continue to cruise the Estrellita from our new home port of Wilmington, NC.

The Vessel
The Estrellita is a 1989 42-foot twin-engine Monk Trawler (Overseas Model). We have owned her since 2013 when we started a one-year restoration of her at our home dock on Johns Island, SC. After updating all mechanical, electrical and HVAC systems, along with refinishing all teak and canvas work, we rented our home and then set off on the Great Loop in April of 2014.
